Furthermore, sanctions were taken against all participants who breached the Law on Traffic Safety. During two weeks of the campaign we realized preventive activity such as distribution of 15.000 promotions leaflets, TV and radio broadcasts to present the significance of use of seat belts. On the other hand, 3.425 fines were distributed against participants breaching regulations defining the obligation to use seat belt. We consider this campaign successful foremost due to significant increase of the use of seat belts in front and back seats.”

Boris Šaban, executive manager of NBOCG on occasion of this action stated that Bureau has recognized its significance due to the fact that it contributes to increase of level of general awareness and traffic safety in the State: “We believe it is more important to act in prevention and education to increase level of general traffic awareness of citizens. The objective of this campaign is not to fine drivers but to achieve significantly higher level of safety. It is necessary for citizens, apart from all relevant institutions, to contribute to this social cause.” – concludes Šaban.
